Campaign Manager

About

A campaign manager or campaign director coordinates a campaign's operations to propel their cause to success.

Most campaign managers work on political campaigns on behalf of a particular candidate, and focus their energies on a variety of areas, including fundraising, advertising, polling, and lobbying.

At a local level, campaign managers may set strategy as well as execute it, but at higher levels of politics, they are more likely to be focused on tactical work, with strategy coming from political consultants on the candidate's team.

Practitioners create a space for the people they are helping, and let them bring the content (rather than a teacher or mentor whose job it is to impart education and information). An impartial stance means being in a place of non-judgement, of holding a space of psychological safety, and maintaining an equal voice to all those taking part.
