About
Residential counselors are responsible for overseeing day-to-day accommodation-related activities at organizations such as rehabilitation centers, residential care facilities, group homes, shelters and universities.
They provide support and guidance for individuals and groups, usually focusing on a particular group such as children and youth, individuals dealing with mental illness or addiction, or elderly individuals.
