Zoo Veterinarian
About
Zoo veterinarians are healthcare practitioners with extensive training in the care of non-domestic animals.
Usually employed by zoos, aquariums, museums, academic institutions or other research facilities, their patients include lions, tigers, bears, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, aquatic animals, reptiles, birds, and many other species.
As well as their primary care work, some zoo veterinarians may be involved with research studies and running educational events for the public.
