Bartender

About

Bartending emerged as a serious profession in the 19th century. The American bartender Harry Johnson wrote the first bartending manual in 1882, as well as opening the world's first bartending consultancy. Bartenders around the world formulate and serve alcoholic or soft drinks behind a bar, usually in a licensed establishment. Bartenders with a deeper focus on cocktails are sometimes referred to as mixologists.
