Tour Guide

About

Tour guides bring cultural, natural and historical destinations to life.

The first known professional tour guides were in 18th-century Japan, but they've been around in one form or another for many hundreds of years.

The three main areas in which tour guides operate are historical tour guiding, corporate tour guiding, and nature or eco-tour guiding.

Tour guides are often employed by visitors' bureaus, destinations, corporations, or are self-employed.
